These "Collector's Edition" books are in a different format to the Definitive Editions and do not match.
The Collector's Editions were launched by Mongoose Publishing in 2007, working their way through three publishers before finally ending up in the hands of Joe Dever himself under the imprint Holmgard Press, which issued the long-awaited 29th book The Storms of Chai in 2015.
Ben Devere took over Holmgard Press following his father's death, and since then, Holmgard Press has been completing the Collector's Editions project - beginning with book 23: Mydnight’s Hero. With the publication of book 28, the Collector's Edition project is finally complete.
They are smaller and do not have marker ribbons. The format for this series was 'locked-in' by Mongoose in 2007. We have added flourishes to improve them - such as a dust jacket with a panoramic map on the reverse - but Holmgard Press intends to focus on the Definitive format going forwards.
This edition is catered to fans looking to complete their Collector's Edition set. New readers are advised to purchase the Definitive Edition books.
